@ahDorchaich@ieji.de Most android phones I've had haven't been supported by any custom ROMs, and most custom ROMs I've tried haven't fixed my fundamental gripes :/

@OpenComputeDesign@linuxrocks.online i know the feeling. i had to buy a Pixel and a Samsung Tab, and choosing them was such a pain cuz all affordable stuff wasnt supported. ended up buying both off-hands and used ofc. also all the stuff with carriers blocking the bootloader, the only one that would be 100% unlockable was a Japanese version so i've a Japanese Pixel lmao. but the amount of stress over all this shite was exhausting tbh. hope to not have any similar troubles for a few decades...
