yeah, they've been doing this by default for a while (automatic Bitlocker encryption without users knowing, uploading the key to their MS account [which they enforce 🤡 ].
Load of garbage.

@wurzelmann@mastodon.wurzelmann.at i guess for many experts this is not news, but defaults matter and many many non-experts dont understand the implications of the defaults. in any case I think its just yet another example of why people need to start shifting away from the big tech industry and reclaiming the means of computation. For the non-experts, Linux desktops have been usable for a while. @devnull@mamot.fr
