@Aaron_Davis It's not *that* bad, but I'm about 4 chapters in and the 80's references are already starting to grate on me. They're references that don't add anything, simply mentioning them for the sake of saying them like, practically worshipping the idea of 80's pop culture from the lens of 2010's idea of the 80's. It all just feels forced and pointless even *with* the premise explained—like who are you really trying to impress by saying Pitfall is your favorite video game in the year 204X??
