I often say I'm the “Cassandra of FOSS” — I make a lot of predictions, almost always really bad ones, and they tend to come true, but no one believes me until they're true.
I mean, I promise I am working every day to *STOP* them from coming true, but, to quote _Dead Kennedys_: “Just what can one of us do / with all that money and power trying to crush us like roaches?”

@bkuhn@fedi.copyleft.org I really started to get nervous a few years ago when I'd predict bad things happening and my friends stopped saying I was overreacting and were just like "yeah. Probably." Me: "Hold up. You're supposed to say I'm wrong. That I'm overreacting." Them: "No, it sounds about right." Me: "Shit."

@bkuhn@fedi.copyleft.org @jzb@hachyderm.io @spaf@mstdn.social You talk about roaches but I have lived in Florida and there’s NOTHING as strong as a roach!! NOTHING!!! It takes a hammer and even then the roach crawls away … and lays eggs…..😂😂😂😂
