💛 Aurelia – y’all, I’m noticing that a lot of software are enshittifying themselves. Microsoft disabled the ability to turn off Auto-Update in Windows Store (which enables any app to enshitify in horrible ways without a user’s consent), and TypeScript’s TSC (mainly 7.0.2, but it’s unconfirmed how bad it is from 7.0.2 onwards), Apple’s iOS 27 onwards(), and apparently Factorio’s newer versions(), might be enshittifying, too. I’d refrain from updating software if the upgrade track desn’t provide a way to downgrade (iOS 27, Windows Store apps), and disabling any Auto-Updates you have enabled, so you can lock down the version and check how shitty the version is, and if there is a way to roll back. (*: I learned about iOS 27 and Factorio from my timelines, but IDK if the OPs would want their posts shared across the bridge, so I’m not sharing them)
