@antopatriarca@mathstodon.xyz a person i worked with at EA left quantum chromodynamics to come (back) to game dev.
He walks circles around everyone in the research group mathematically, while also being friendly, open minded and creative.
Maybe that will be you in a few years if you decide to come back after things normalize :P

@demofox@mastodon.gamedev.place Maybe, but I also think it was a long coming decision and the current AI situation has just been the last drop that made me decide to quit
