I wish there were as many (differently nuanced) ways to express liking someone in the English language as in German.. 🥺

"I like you": feels awkward to say to me "I love you": great but pretty huge leap, not an option for saying to anyone still "love you": I know there's apparently a pretty big difference between with and without "I", but at least to me as a non native speaker it feels not that different
