ik it's questionable to feed wild animals, but there are a couple of doves i've been watching around the garden and neighborhood and i've been feeding them crumbs of fat/seed-balls i noticed some doves feeding on leftovers (crumbs that fell down) after tiny birds ate from the feed ball after that i thought to try and get their attention by purposefully creating these crumbs i think it's probably fine :neocat_googly_woozy: it's only small amounts and they very thoroughly search everywhere the pieces fall and i exclusively do it while i'm present, since they wouldn't associate it with me otherwise in total it's 3 doves, while 2 of them (the 2 pictured) are a pair and hate the other dove i can identify one very clearly, and the other two only by their interactions with the others at least those are all the ones who know of food being here since then the dove i can identify (the one in the first pic) has become pretty comfortable receiving food from a distance they're all too skittish to realize i don't do much around them so there is no trust, but they really want the food i think it's fun to watch them, their behavior changed quite a bit over the months i've been doing it irregularly and they're cute :neobot_hug_pigeon: (no neocat :c )
