Holy shit Autistici/Inventati is shutting down? I only just learned of their existence because of the Aug 26 thingie. Sigh. They were such a cool collective. In the short time I've known about them I've been almost idolizing them. They did the exact kind of work I would like to do, building infra for and by regular folk. I'm particularly enamored with how the put the least technically proficient person in front of the computer to set up that first server. What a thoughtful thing to do! But I should explore what kind of infra I can build that would actually be useful today. It's clear the model Autistici/Inventati used that I admire so much isn't 100% viable. Maybe I should explore building a physically local sneakernet.
