i was that guy in high school. some weird mental virus spread around the school one day where every guy suddenly decided today was the day they were going to grab girl’s asses, and the girls dressed in more revealing clothing were “asking for it”. I had to intervene when I heard a girl yell “no, stop!” twice. But I was a socially awkward autistic teenager in high school who didn’t really want to interact with anyone, so for some reason I apologized to the girl after. Then I had a sit down with some of the guys and explained to them the difference between fashion and “asking for it”, and explained to them how when they say “I’d love it if a girl grabbed MY ass!” it’s because they’re only picturing girls they’re attracted to, and every other woman is basically invisible to them. anywho that’s my story, I was 17, I’m 37 now.

The kind of person who would do that largely isn’t the kind of person who gets into those group chats in the first place.

The trouble is that the guys who do call them out tend to shed these dudes out of their friend groups pretty quickly, and then they aren’t really that guy anymore ‘cuz it doesn’t come up
