Is there a way to indicate "[sic]" to a #screenreader without it reading the brackets verbatim?

@shaedrich@mastodon.online your wording makes me think you’ve got this in reverse: it’s very unusual for a screen reader to be set up to read the brackets. That’s possible, if the user is interested in punctuation and symbols, but then if they are, let them be.
