Q5: I tend not to make many kits because I have a habit of ‘short cutting’ instructions. Do you always follow instructions, or are you a basher/hacker-about-er? If you’re teaching someone, would you expect them to always follow the instructions? #MakersHour To the first question: I do follow the instructions if I'm baking. I might adapt a little bit when canning. Mending and cooking stuff I know? Instructions are suggestions. To the second: it depends: Inexperienced people make clumsy mistakes, particularly in the kitchen. People who already know what they're doing will be like me, and adapt to their tastes or tools.
