@webology@mastodon.social these don't look too bad! If I can't nab a steam machine I might try to build one. It still might be slightly too big for my space though.

@fancysandwiches@neuromatch.social I plan to blog about building it and how well it does, throwing some real numbers at it. They went from $40 a board to $200 in a few short months. (I paid ~$150 two weeks ago) It won't be as powerful as the Steam Machine, but it feels much faster than my Steam Deck did on a few 3d games I liked. Once I figure out how to turn on FPS, I'll post some numbers. I figured out (with help) how to enable all 40 cores yesterday (ships with 24 active) and it was quite a boost.
