@TrueNorthSpice@mastodon.world It was the claim that no one can invest in Greenland EVER without express written permission of the US, that felt like Greenland lost sovereignty. That seemed to go against earlier Danish/Greenlander statements about negotiations. But they've said all along that they are own to negotiating a deal for (added) military presence. I *do* wonder what the actual agreement says, vs the version on Truth (sic) Social.

  • @ElwoodCity@thecanadian.social Yeah. I have similar concerns. The PM was vague and said no further details are available yet. I am skeptical about Trump's claims. I suspect he is using puffery over the facts of a legitimate deal because of upcoming elections. Also it might be a pressure tactic...and cause unrest in Denmark and Greenland
