@maartje@blahaj.social I've had a few queries from folks if the Guard path would appeal, but I dunno... I really like the PA role and getting to help many different folk throughout the day.
It feels like a guard would be limited to a few local routes and it'd lose it's appeal too quickly.
Although I am very open to my mind being changed.. (if any TOC guards are reading/lurking)

@Nikkileah@mendeddrum.org @maartje@blahaj.social My son worked as a guard / conductor on the Nottingham<>Liverpool route mostly. He came to hate it eventually (and moved into control rooms). He was dealing with people who mostly didn't want to be engaged with - unlike your current role. As you say, the lack of route variety became a problem for him. YMMV of course!

@Nikkileah@mendeddrum.org i am lucky in that aspect to 1) live in Belgium which has a lot of border traffic and 2) working for a deliberately international traffic company to see many countries and routes
