@kjhealy The US is a morally bankrupt society that is collapsing. It's not that other societies are necessarily in better shape: corruption, collusion, capture are pervasive. It's just that for as long as the power edifice is intact it covers its sewage. When it starts falling apart, this allows us to peak through its normally opaque structures and get a glimpse of how things really work. And it is disgusting and frightening but also points to a reality: Without transparency we have no future.
