One of the things that bothers me about creators creating their own patronage sites to get away from Patreon is that it offloads a burden onto the patron. I back 20+ creators on Patreon... I'm not going to deal with 20+ custom-rolled patronage sites, associated logins, etc. Patreon brings a big value to the _patron_ in aggregation. (I know I follow someone who rolled his own. I still subscribe to his Patreon for the above reason. I appreciate that he hasn't left there.)
