Just had a brief session of fireworks going off somewhere in this or the next street over followed by three, very loud, solitary bangs that sounded more like cannon fire than rocket-propelled pyrotechnics. Hopefully a pirate ship and a brief celebration of International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

@neonbubble@mstdn.social Mortars. In the two years that I was involved in a public firework display I never got to do mortars. Did some decent sized rockets though 🎆🎇💥
