For this week's jukebox music theme, History, here is "Burn On", written and performed by Randy Newman. In 1969, the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio, US, caught fire due to industrial pollution and oil slicks. The fire was a wake-up call that led to a major environmental clean-up effort, and is partially responsible for the creation of the Environmental Protection Act. "Cleveland, city of light, city of magic, Cleveland, city of light, you're calling me, Cleveland, even now I can remember, 'Cause the Cuyahoga River goes smoking through my dreams. Burn on, big river, burn on, Burn on, big river, burn on." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDVIFVy1MXQ #JukeboxFridayNight #History
