@lauren@mastodon.laurenweinstein.org I've seen this coming for a while. Promising, with no evidence, that AI doctors will be a boon. Frequently, it is phrased as giving medical advice to people without access to MDs. It is easy to see that, once they are introduced for the poorest, suddenly they will become a "cost effective" alternative for working class, then middle class. In the end, only the very wealthy will have medical care. Everyone else gets a magic 8 ball.
