You are right about the first part. The second not so much. When will people understand higher order concepts like billionaire wealth? Its not real money, it’s funny money. The market prices things based on peoples confidence in something or someone. Billionaire are individuals that can gain a lot of confidence of people. Its a form of unfiltered direct democracy. People elect leaders that are shitty because people are idiots. Do better. Build communities on better values. Stop playing into their con by speculating on Tesla to make a quick Buck, instead do value investing into index funds that divest from climate destroying shit and have your money sitting there making impact long term. Talk to xenophobes, help them overcome their fears, introduce them to your chocolate colored friends and help them discover value in other cultures. Food is a big one. Stop dreaming of a communist system that doesn’t work either and come out from your parents cellar dungeon and be the change you want to see.

it’s funny money Well this is a pretty dangerous and thought terminating lie you have told yourself. Billionaires make more money than you will in a lifetime every single day without lifting a finger from asset value growth. In aggregate, they have to buy stuff with that money or it loses value. Their lifestyle costs are less than a fraction of a percent of their income. This happens without them doing a thing because wealth management organisations effectively automate this process for them. The stuff they buy is assets. Like land, infrastructure, debt, businesses. Because they need to buy it to at least keep the value of their portfolio, they will pay more to outcompete those with less. This causes prices of everything to rise across the board. Houses and property being the most immediately obvious, but food comes from farm businesses on land. That’s all going up too, just like everything else. Year on year, the percentage of ownable stuff in the world (which is not infinite) owned by a handful of people increases, leaving the percentage available for everyone else shrinking, causing accelerating price increases from both ends, as the people with less fight amongst themselves to buy ever dwindling resources. The mere existence of billionaires is a threat to your way of life. They know this, that’s why they are all also pumping money into anyone who says the problem is actually immigration. Because if they make that noise loud enough, they can prevent something being done to stop them for long enough to finish taking everything from everyone else.
