Everything about the illustrative style is very similar, as if they've all been ripping off the same illustrator. I'm assuming access to public domain images has them scraping more decades-old illustrations than contemporary ones. Hence, the emphatically retro nostalgic style. Read up on it. I'm not an expert by any means. Just a creative pro who is sick of all this bullshit.
