Most application data is stored in %AppData% on windows, stuff like preferences, accounts, etc…
It’s also entirely possible they just didn’t delete the old app data folder before a re-install, as those are normally left behind when uninstalling software, and the new install just picked up the account from there.

The software doesnt have interenet access and doesnt display an account, only Adobe got info about the new username with the old email and some info. It was that link opened by the software. But yes, could have been appdata too, unless BCU cleans that
