@noam scrolling your posts to see what your deal is and: I am a leftist and I have no love for the Democrats. They have been and continue to range from being massive failures to genocidaires. However the CEO of Proton has espoused the position: "Democrats bad so therefore Republicans good" instead of any of a number of more sensible responses including ... simply not. Proton posting any kind of corporate account :ohno: therefore remains at best incoherent. Hope this help! 👍

@platypus@glammr.us Here's my perspective: #Proton have spent years building up privacy friendly stuff, they campaign against giving too much power to big tech, and they support good causes, as this post demonstrates. That's why I like them. Their CEO made a comment, which some people interpreted as supporting #Trump. Taking a step back, I think that's a poor interpretation. The idea that this negates all the good work they're doing is absurd. The politics of going after Proton is toxic and counterproductive. It is a politics of hatred and division, of being 'holier than thou'. The very politics that enabled Trump to get elected. People should be acting against Musk, Zuck and Bezos - billionaires who lead companies that have given millions to Trump, companies that are doing actual harm to many people. Proton have done nothing like that. Judge them by their actions, not one comment you don't like. I'm leftist and not American, if that helps.
