@josey somebody shared this beautiful story by @WeirdWriter recently and I cannot recommend it enough. https://sightlessscribbles.com/the-colonization-of-confidence/ This hit very close to home, as I see a coworker of mine, who I mentored through imposter syndrome to a good craftswoman, slowly losing herself to LLMs. Whatever task she's confronted with, it's a question for ChatGPT. "No time to read the docs, no time to experiment". And even if she doesn't notice it herself, but she's slowly losing her confidence. Things where she would have given a confident answer before, now need to be double-checked by a magic 8-ball. 😭
