Right before I drove to work tonight, I saw some girls with flashlights looking for their lost cat. I couldn't help them (the mangy alley cats I've seen in my neighborhood were not the lost kitten they were looking for), but it was so innocent and heartwarming that it reminded me that I'd like to live in a sane, pleasant society for a change.
