@Doomed_Daniel@mastodon.gamedev.place I've long thought there should be a law that people in positions of power or influence be REQUIRED to tell verifiable truth, nothing more, and face steep penalties for violations. Like, when you approach any kind of figurative megaphone, you're under oath and can be held in contempt if you mislead or lie. This means content creators, influencers, movie stars, politicians, state leaders, military officials, etc. I'm not sure this could be implemented in a way that wouldn't be twisted in a way to harm innocent people. I'd settle instead for any wealth held or gained above a certain threshold, proportional to the wealth of the poorest people in a nation, be taxed at 100%.
