The original piece is a folk song, but the arrangement by pianist Ryukichi Sawada is ingenious, allowing listeners to hear rhythmic expressions comparable to modern rock and roll. Due to Sawada's early death, the number of his known works is limited, and there are virtually no other works of this kind of vocal music.
