@whophd@ioc.exchange In the winter, you can even shift the heat generated into the home for space-heat or water-heating. Some Scandinavian places are already using Bitcoin miners to heat the whole city. Or, Vancouver is looking at saving a really nice public pool by recouping heating costs in this way. Far-northern Canadian places are looking at small nuclear installs, which are $$$, but if Bitcoin mining subsidizes until load is purchased, it becomes possible. I heat our apartment w/ Bitcoin mining.

Battery-driven appliances that help in being that home-storage reserve. https://www.impulselabs.com And... while expensive, looks SO much better than traditional appliances in terms of capabilities and performance. :)
