Last week or the week before, I came home from pulmonary rehab, going through the middle floor instead of going to the backyard through my basement door. As I reached the folding door to my living room, I immediately sighed realizing I had locked it from the other side because Jasper and Soda had come in before I left. I was annoyed at myself, but I realized that I had, for the first time in nearly a decade, that it would only be a mild annoyance to have to go back upstairs and around the house

At my pulmonary doctors appointments, I typically use willingness to go up a flight of stairs as a to describe how I feel most days. There were times during the months of trying to get my meds again(and the months after) where going upstairs was a multi hour planning session. I was still trying to do some food delivery, and it took me about 5 hours to work up the strength just to get upstairs to bathe. It improved a lot after I started seeing the heart failure doc, but not a ton.
