One of my absolute favorite pieces as a person with a harpsichord special interest is Antonio Soler's Fandango.
It's a piece to show off. And torment harpsichordists. Full of acrobatic fingering. And absolutely no repeating parts. Depending on how fast you play it it’s a 9 to 12 minute piece. With no repetitions! That means you have a hell of a score on your desk.
This is my favorite performance. Monika Forys masters this piece with grace and accuracy. And her partner Tomas Celis Sanchez is … incredible. His stern way through all the piece!!
