I am increasingly of the opinion that the big AI companies who want to paper the world with data centers and enable universal layoffs ought to be given a bargain: "Sure, but only once you submit to taxation sufficient to fund a generous universal basic income for everybody." #UBI Does it pencil out? I don't know and I don't give a fuck; that's THEIR problem, not mine.
