@PGBeattie@mastodonapp.uk @TrueNorthSpice@mastodon.world That's certainly a fair accusation against private company certifications, but membership of professional bodies is intended to guarantee a standard of ethical behaviour, even if individuals occasionally fall foul of the rules. In LL's case, there is an ethical code for nurses (https://www.nmc.org.uk/standards/code/), and transgressors will be 'struck off' and unable to work in that profession again.
