I code review database-related deployments: stored procs, views, table designs, etc. I've been evangelizing *not* using acronyms and abbreviations when naming things. I'm constantly telling folks "This isn't the 90's. We're not bound by things like 8.3 file names. Spell out the words!"

@khalidabuhakmeh@mastodon.social It helps folks whose primary language isn't English. It helps the poor sap that will someday inherit the giant mess you made. It helps "future you" who has no idea what the hell "past you" was thinking. It helps everyone else in the organization that doesn't come from the same background as you. Just. Spell. Things. Out.
