@Geri@mastodon.online @vy@mastodon.social As far as i can find the British Museum changed the word Palestinian for Canaanite in context of the Egyptian 15th dynasty, the Hyksos, which predated Philistia by centuries and Herodotus or Roman province of Syria Palaestina by over a millennium. The Peleset/Philistines were likely not Canaanite nor even Semitic. Romans renamed province of Judaea to Syria Palaestina after Bar Kokhba rebellion.
