KPMG are amoral business consultants. They'll tell you the sky is purple and the sea is orange if they're paid enough money. The government policy on data centres is about smoke-and-mirrors. I'm a techie. I've worked in a data center. They are black holes for energy and employment. Our official policy of being a 'global leader in data centers' is akin to leading the world in landfill sites. Not our data. Not our problem. #daracenter #ireland #tech https://www.thejournal.ie/government-data-centre-report-academic-research-7165266-Sep2026/
