Someone on Lemmy asked if switching to local AI would make people hate it less, by reducing need for more datacenters and resource use. I want to share my reply b/c that's only ⅓ of the issues 3 problems 1. Being used poorly and mostly resulting in slop, or malicious/unethical/deadly uses, and psychosis 2. Being forced down the public's throat and put into places where it adds no value, job losses, quality drops, plagiarism 3. Datacenter/environmental concerns, part prices #ai #llm #localAI
