@buckfiftyseven@mastodon.social I disagree. Linux embodies an outdated architecture and a microkernel will greatly reduce the amount and severity of security issues.
Linux wasn't providing a way to reach for the future – stemming the insane tidalwave of exploits we see in the news every week – and the public's willingness to be herded into a dystopia hinges greatly on that legacy of insecurity.
The fact that most of us are talking about microkernels is an indicator our interest is anything but "just because".
