@bert_hubert@eupolicy.social I am not quite convinced this is that bad of a solution (I may be wrong).
.COM is an American thing after all, therefore American authorities can control it. Yes this is a problem for the company, but if what they do is legal in NL then they can register .NL domain. A much more powerful and practiced (e.g. in PL to block gambling) solution is "seizing" foreign domains on DNS resolvers.
Internet has messed with states' sovereignty for decades, and they're starting to deal with it.
