Maybe it's just me but i like it when i click something and it is the thing that it looked like instead of a placeholder that's triggering a new object to load so i can type in it. Maybe I'm faster than most users but the loading always makes me miss a beat. It's not doing what it said it would when it looked like that and now i have to wait for it to be the thing it claimed it was so i can fix my cursor position, go back the two steps it missed and try again.
Hopefully i won't have caused something horrible to happen when my keystrokes went into unknown endpoints

@RnDanger@infosec.exchange @djsundog@fedi.reclaim.technology I'm not sure what you mean? Nor does it seem to have anything much at all to do with HTML table layouts. Table-based layouts are abuse/misuse of the feature, they have no bearing on the loading, fast or otherwise, of textboxes. You know who based layouts are absurdly inaccessible to? Folks who use screenreaders, or even just folks who have a display resolution lower than the designer planned for. They were a necessary cludge at the time, but we've developed much more appropriate and robust means of achieving the same ends. Could you elaborate on what problem you're describing? I'm genuinely puzzled.
