Google is ignoring the rule, making €288 million in the EU - every day! Even though, the EU said stop. πŸ›‘ One year later, Google's adtech conflicts of interest remain & it makes an estimated €288 MILLION EVERY DAY β†’ More than €2 BILLION A WEEK. πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ˜  Last year the European Commission fined Google €2.95 billion for breaching the EU antitrust rules by abusing its dominant position in online ads. It also said that due to conflict of interest Google may have to sell parts of its adtech business.

β†’ One year later & this has not happened. MEP, Andreas Schwab has said, "One year on, those conflicts of interest remain.” The European Commission must not give Google more time to extend its market power. (And profit off your data) Take action, sign the petition: break up Big Tech & break the monopoly πŸ‘‰ https://action.wemove.eu/sign/2025-05-breakupbigtech-petition-EN/?utm_campaign=BreakUpBigTech&utm_medium=li&utm_source=orgli #DeGoogle

@Tutanota@mastodon.social So, if they earn 2 billion a week, a fine of almost 3 billion is literally just a cost of doing business. This is pointless.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social I already said "block them for a week or month and see what happens" That not only counts for Google but also for Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Palantir etc. If they violate our laws they will not be permitted to further do business here until they comply. That would also somewhat clean the heads of the people shouting "sovereignity" in the EU and show them how dependent we really are on these services and companies.
