Is there a plan to have migrations run automatically?
It's not a big pain point, but it should be possible to determine whether a database needs migrations or not programmatically and apply migrations when needed.
I don't know Rails, but it should be or am I wrong..

@panda@pandas.social @MastodonEngineering@mastodon.social You can run the same migration steps as for the major releases every time, they will only do something if it's needed. We omit them from patch releases to have shorted update instructions.
