@trammel That's a fair criticism. I should go on to say why it's wrong to downgrade people to quasi subhuman status. I'd still say it's more than just that other people get hurt. We hurt ourselves too. We cramp our thinking, lose their input and become vulnerable to baseless fear, which itself leads to unhappiness for us and bad decisions. And of course, if we don't respect them then we make it very hard for them to respect us. This is a recipe for needless violent conflict.
