@aspeed@lgbtqia.space so many publishers failed in their duty of care, they deserve a class action suit of their own. But it is infuriating that copyright is supposedly automatically granted (even for the US) but there is extra “optional” step of registering it for that copyright to mean anything at all. Then it’s not actually “automatically granted” is it, and they should stop saying it is.
