Every time I see the ACAB people bitch about cops or people say defund the police, I kinda agree, but getting rid of police completely isn’t the answer.
I’m honestly more and more convinced we need to give cops less money and then put that money into like a new social worker force or something. A group who is supported by police in dangerous situations, but are there to help people instead of just incarcerate them.
And there are good cops. We need more of those.

I know there’s a good chance I’ll get hate for this, but the world isn’t straight forward and the answers are often nuanced. And I fully agree something needs to change, but part of it is the institutions not just cops. For example, we need to abolish private prisons. Imprisoning people should not be profitable for anyone.
