@quinn@social.circl.lu question: is french your mother tongue but you aren’t as fluent in writing as you are in english? cuz this seems to be a thing with people who aren’t completely (oral/read/write) bilingual in their mother tongue. am actually fully bilingual in both, but because Spanish is my dominant language, my dyslexia is mostly triggered in English.
fun fact¹: was one of the subjects of a neuroscience study on bilinguism that accidentally found out that dyslexia can be a sign of bilinguism… 🧵…

fun fact²: Rick Rordian uses that study (without mentioning it at all) to explain Percy Jackson’s dyslexia. i broke down crying when in the movie he is looking at the greek words and they rearrange before him and he is able to read them. i felt totally seen. btw: i’ve tried to keep up with the research. it just exploded, i guess due to neuroimaging and such. apparently some researchers have written about how programming languages may also be dyslexia triggers. @quinn@social.circl.lu
