I do wonder if the push for biodegradable plastics is what’s led to microplastic fragmentation and mass loss into the environment. Maybe we should be avoiding self-degrading plastics, but keep 100% of them in circulation to be fully recycled.

@BashStKid@mastodon.online @Nickiquote@mstdn.social I'm not sure 100% recycling is currently possible. It should obviously be a goal, but we need to massively reduce its use.
