@helloyanis@furries.club @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu @StopKillingGames@mastodon.social @privacy@lemmy.world Not saying that people should not sign this petition, but in addition to what everyone is saying about it not being against age verification, I want to add a reminder that when they were protesting about "killing games", some big fishes from the videogame industry went to talk privately with some of the members of the parliament and the very next day the initiative got rejected. It is unknown what they talked in the background but we can only assume what it was 💵
Signing petitions and protesting is a waste of time and people needs to realize this, its time to move on to more active means of being heard. Just a suggestion, nothing else.

@enigmatico@mk.absturztau.be @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu @StopKillingGames@mastodon.social @privacy@lemmy.world The SKG team is still ongoing in their actions and even if the eu commission did pretty much nothing, this brought up the subject to the eu parliament which is in support of it and is looking to integrate it in the digital fairness act. So, no it wasn't all useless!
