@celesteh Also note that violent countries that ban guns get more bombing. Look how rare bombings have been in the US recently even with a low level civil war being fought and huge amounts of general violence. When guns and explosives are equally controlled, attackers intending a highly destructive attack find bombs both simpler to make and more effective. I believe the availability of guns is diverting potential bombers into becoming shooters instead. I'd rather have to try and tackle a mass shooter than try to stop a suicide bomber any day...
