Think of a cool character trait Planting seeds of it Realizing it would be 100 chapters before that pays off (not really but would be very long) Have cool idea to show that anyway, since the point was that this cool idea would eventually happen later on Realize that this either makes an earlier remark a lie, or makes main character look like she doesn't think trans men are men (having a hookup with a trans guy despite saying she's not into men in chapter 2 or so) ​:neofox_shocked:​ (I solved it by finding an in-universe way of the MC saying it was a lie of convenience)
